31 one years allready, this impacted the whole planet,people are still mot allowed in there

Well, it impacted the local region sure.  It was a terrible incident, but let's not get carried away.

It impacted whole Europe. The nuclear cloud expanded well over most of the continent, and many countries were hit by the fallout.  Let's not play it down.

Agreed, let's not play it down, but let's not play it up, let's not say it affected the entire world.  It impacted the local region, and continues to do so.  It can be detected in most of Europe, it can even be detected in other parts of the world, but being detected and being impacted are two different things.

You are talking about how it is now. I was talking about how it was back then. It affected Europe as a whole, and probably parts of Asia as well. Yes, not the entire world, but also not just a locally.

So what is it that you mean by "impacted", then?  Are we talking about biology, or are we talking politically?
