Post Referencing Purple Roads

I was on this forum a number of months ago (November, December, 2016?), browsing and saw a post which mentioned something about roads being purple or something like that- it might have been a poem even. Does that  sound familiar to anyone? Not sure which sub-forum. Thanks for reading-

There is a book by australian author, Fleur Mcdonald called Purple Roads  she is an author from my home state.

It is also the name of a tribute band for deep purple 

Also a scenic drive between detroit and niagara falls.  So named because of the number of lavender farms along the route. 

ALso lots  of other uses for the name, from  music records to a cancer appeal site
