George Soros battles $10B lawsuit, familiar charges of wielding political influence

A $10 billion suit against George Soros accuses the self-styled humanitarian of meddling in the politics of a poor African country in order to settle his own scores, a charge the billionaire’s critics say reflects his longtime modus operandi.

The 86-year-old investor, who controls a web of international nonprofits in addition to his vast financial empire, used his sway with the government of Guinea to freeze Israeli company BSG Resources out of the West African nation’s lucrative iron ore mining contracts, according to the suit filed last month in New York Federal Court by BSG Resources.

"Soros was motivated solely by malice, as there was no economic interest he had in Guinea," BSGR alleges in court papers.

This will now be the second major lawsuit that Soros is facing from meddling in foreign government affairs.

I would love to see him at the gallows for attacking U.S. elections and trying to install socialism. So many countries has banned him, because of what he done to them, George Soros should be removed from United States and banned, then have him hanged in international waters before tossing his body in the ocean. His children should be banned too, because they are striving for the same thing as he is.

I would do it myself but my passport has expired. Now if I was Mexican or Syrian I wouldn`t need one lol and my light saber is low on batteries   What worries me is that when he does kick the bucket there will be a clone to take his place.

BSG Resources Group - based in Guernsey - is suing Soros in a New York court about events that happened in New Guinea ? 

What laws - under which jurisdiction - are they accusing Soros of breaking ? Is this a REAL court case, or just an empty publicity stunt ?

Not sure why it takes place in New York, maybe the mining companies have head offices there? Or Soros and his cronies are operating from there? It wouldn't be the first time BSGR was involved in lawsuits hosted by NY:

It would be wonderful to see a trend begin where everyone who has been afraid to begin inundating this cretin with as many lawsuits as possible. If everything said about him is true there should be no shortage of litigation and evidence to back it up. The guy seems like a real super villain though with infinite resources and resilience.

The one thing that is blatantly obvious in our society today is that all the billionaires have armies of lawyers that "no fault" settle any wrong doings they might do.  With that being societally acceptable, you are never going to sue a billionaire to change his behavior.  You can't even get a known pedophile like Epstein to do meaningful jail time because of his wealth and contacts.

Lawyers are able to find ways to do things like that.  That is why they are lawyers -- they are both smart and greedy.  I suspect the figure they are asking for is nothing close to the figure they would settle for, so one must read the numbers attached to such law suits with a good deal of cynicism.

OK, lets get down to brass tacks. Has this "lawsuite" even actually been filed, (notwithstanding the statements by the news outlets) or is the entire thing just a publicity stunt ? If "something" HAS been filed, what is its content ?
