I think Kushner had a meeting with Russian diplomats on Dec 1 or 2, where he wanted to make a non-government channel to Russia, to be used in the interim before Trump took the Oath of Office in January. Is that not correct? Yeah, you are right , I mixed up elected with sworn in. But, I like the wording "non-government channel to Russia", for a comms channel from an embassy in an foreign country to the Kremlin. Yeah, must be pure private ("Hy Vlad, can you lend me yr lawn mower next Saturday?")
Dark_Grey Posted May 30, 2017 #52 Share Posted May 30, 2017 Not sure if this has been covered, but the whole story is fake news. Kushner never requested a secure channel with Russia.DailyWire Quote So it is bad enough that our dishonest media is posing as objective while turning a firecracker into a nuke, but Fox News says that WaPo got the story exactly wrong, that the Fake News Factory is falsely reporting (no doubt, intentionally) that it was Kushner who requested the secret communication, when the truth is that the Russians requested this, and only over the single issue of Syria: A December meeting between Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and one of the senior advisers in the Trump administration, and Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak at Trump Tower focused on Syria, a source familiar with the matter told Fox News Monday. During the meeting the Russians broached the idea of using a secure line between the Trump administration and Russia, not Kushner, a source familiar with the matter told Fox News. That follows a recent report from The Washington Post alleging that Kushner wanted to develop a secure, private line with Russia. The idea of a permanent back channel was never discussed, according to the source. Instead, only a one-off for a call about Syria was raised in the conversation. @DieChecker - I'm beginning to think Kushner is the fly in the ointment. He has this habit of staring at Trump with his beady little eyes, sticking his hands in cookie jars that aren't meant for him.
Gromdor Posted May 30, 2017 #53 Share Posted May 30, 2017 I like how all the news these days use "a source familiar with the matter". In this case it is one of the Russians or maybe Flynn? How many people were in the room and in on this I wonder?

Why are we to believe the Russians when their data hurts Trump, but not believe them when the data hurts Clinton/DNC? We should just not believe anything that comes out of Russia. Verify rather then simply print Accusations. Good on the Daily Wire for actually looking into a story, rather then just copy and pasting what some rag posted.

Because the Fox News source said it was Russia, not Kushner. But, the Washington Post source had it REAL CLOSE, huh? Hmmm...maybe, just maybe, the Fox News source lied to cover the story up? Or maybe it's just a coincidence, and there are now TWO LEAKERS?? Fake news...you fools.

+DieChecker Posted June 2, 2017 #58 Share Posted June 2, 2017 This article was interesting.... https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/explanations-for-kushners-meeting-with-head-of-kremlin-linked-bank-dont-match-up/2017/06/01/dd1bdbb0-460a-11e7-bcde-624ad94170ab_story.html?utm_term=.40101d6b7336 Quote ST. PETERSBURG, Russia — The White House and a Russian state-owned bank have very different explanations for why the bank’s chief executive and Jared Kushner held a secret meeting during the presidential transition in December. The bank maintained this week that the session was held as part of a new business strategy and was conducted with Kushner in his role as the head of his family’s real estate business. The White House says the meeting was unrelated to business and was one of many diplomatic encounters the soon-to-be presidential adviser was holding ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
