Stubbly_Dooright Posted May 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I don't know of it's because my husband being in the military for 21 years and been places that placed him close to wars, or that I'm remembering my dad, who died three years ago, and him being a prison of war, or my late brother who was in two branches, and died of cancer seven years ago, but I'm a bit when I have wishes for a 'Happy Holiday' in reference of "Memorial Day". When did it became a party? I am remembering my loved one, my friends, and strangers, who are not here, but made a significant imprint by serving.

Thanato Posted May 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2017 I can safely assume that Memorial Day is like November 11th, Rememberance Day?
Vorg Posted May 29, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted May 29, 2017 2 hours ago, Thanato said: I can safely assume that Memorial Day is like November 11th, Rememberance Day? Correct. Memorial day is to honor those who have fallen while serving. Veterans day remembers those who have served, living or deceased.
