Sphinx

Paul !

Recommended Posts

I just now googled "Sphinx the truth" and it produced 96,200,000 results. So, while it may be absent from the evening news, it is indeed being talked about.

Eeeerrrmmm  ...  do you realise how  google works ?

I just googled  'mafdet sphinx '   and    About 79,700 results (0.60 seconds)

That does not mean any one ( except me right now) is talking about it .

My apologies. At times my dry humor is incomprehensible.

Thank you ... I shall remember that for future reference .

I do have a comprehension problem in this area ... my usual response is  'ya gotta be kidding me '  but some seem to take offense at that   :)

I tried "Mafdet butt nugget" and got 1,130 hits in .45 seconds. I guess anything is searchable. "Mafdet back to earth"? That got 133,000 hits in .53 seconds.

I've known for some time if I ever encountered the riddling sphinx it would kill me.  Something just tells me inside that I have no chance figuring out the riddle of the sphinx in time, something about it.  I'm talking about the Greek Sphinx at the entrance to Thebes, the apparently Oedipus solved and it destroyed itself.  Something about the way it asks its riddle doesn't make sense, like a giant gap in logic.  I'm not great at these riddles anyway.

Simply ask the Sphinx to answer a riddle of your own first; "what's the velocity of an unladen swallow?"

What type of swallow ?

African, European, American or the rare Antarctic?
