rashore Posted June 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2017 Quote An 8-year-old girl has been made to write an apology after trying to summon up the ghost of "Bloody Mary". Her mother, who posted about the incident on social media, said her daughter went into the girls' toilet and stood in front of the mirror calling the name "Bloody Mary" five times. Her teacher at a state primary school made her stay inside during lunchtime filling in a form about how she had infringed a school value of "taking responsibility" and writing that she would not do it again. "It's pretty weird to make a kid miss a lunchtime for trying to summon a ghost," the mother said. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11880234

The Silver Thong Posted June 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2017 I did the bloody mary thing in a bathroom with a candle at about that age. It freaked me out back then but nothing happened. Not really a shocker. Ok I must cunfess I bought a cross when I was about 14 to keep the vampires away. When my parents asked why they laughed.
Future ghost Posted June 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2017 That's so mean. If she ever does do that again she should send Bloody Mary to visit her teacher.

Daffy123 Posted June 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 23, 2017 Everyone did that as a kid.... it's basically tradition... I worked at the summer camp I attended growing up and it went from being actually cool and exploratory to "us parents will sue you if my kid gets dirt on his feet" Not literally but pretty damn near... anyway it just made me think of that kind of
