Regi Posted June 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) The best movie I've seen lately is Island of Lost Souls (1932). https://www.criterion.com/films/27861-island-of-lost-souls As far as best, most recent movie I've seen in a theater, despite negative reviews, I went to see The Book of Henry, but unfortunately, I walked out agreeing that every ounce of criticism I'd read about was warranted. AnchorSteam Posted August 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 5, 2017 Best NEW movie? Easy - the one that hasn't been re-made upteen times and isn't tied to some Comic-book franchise. Seriously , this is good stuff. Hardly any CGI in it, I think they wrecked about 5 million dollars worth of antique planes, boats and trucks making it. If you have not already, I highly recommend it. Its not so much a War movie as a suspense film set to the beat of actual history.

LV-426 Posted September 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 13, 2017 I'm late to the party, as I often wait until movies hit cable, but I thought Rogue One was excellent. By far the best Star Wars movie since the originals.
Regi Posted September 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 13, 2017 (edited) I thought Nocturnal Animals was pretty good...I like the actors, and I thought the story was interesting in that I found it be a bit of a challenge to it figure all out...
