treee Posted July 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Hello! I lost my emerald ring with a silver band. My boyfriend gave it to me on our 2 year anniversary and I haven't seen it since Sunday. This ring means the world to me and I think that I lost it around the house but it's possible that I left it at work (I will go to work tomorrow but I seriously doubt that I'll find it there). PLEASE give me anything that you have, I am freaking out and if this ring doesn't show up soon I don't know what I'd have to tell my boyfriend. rashore Posted July 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Welcome to UM treee Unfortunately, I think you may have to tell you bf what happened. Your thoughts are understandably scattered, yet now is the time to be still and seek with your remembering eye.
eugenonegin Posted July 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2017 (edited) This is a true story, true. My son recently went for a serious operation. A colleague of his gave him a little pewter medallion as a good luck charm - it's only claim to value was that it had been lost for 10 years and reappeared in strange circumstances. The morning of his op, he gave it to me for safe keeping and a week later asked me to return it. I had lost it. I had always kept it in my trousers pocket, and had checked several times a day that it was there. Apart from this day. I asked at the hospital security, the hospital shop, the shops I had gone to, and he had to tell the person who had loaned him the charm that it was lost. A week later again, he said guess what, it is in my wallet. And it was. The moral is, search but don't stress too much, it may turn up. +Hammerclaw Posted July 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2017 (edited) Barring theft, it's somewhere around where you usually take jewelry off, under something placed on top of it, kicked under a counter or fallen down a drain, so check the traps in kitchen and bathroom. Check all your jeans in case you don't remember you wore a different pair and do the one thing I found women loathe to do; if you carry a large over-the-shoulder purse or bag, dump it out on the bed and check it's contents and every compartment. check your car, your own and/or your boyfriends. Probably, it's somewhere obvious but covered by something else. Edited July 22, 2017 by Hammerclaw
