Still Waters Posted July 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2017 Rising temperatures are making it too hot for African wild dogs to hunt and the number of their pups that survive is plummeting, according to a new study. The research is among the first to show a direct impact of increased heat on wildlife that appears well adapted to high temperatures. There are only 7,000 African wild dogs left in the wild and they have lost 93% of their historic ranges to humans. Research earlier in July suggested that a “biological annihilation” of wildlife in recent decades means a sixth mass extinction in Earth’s history is already under way. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/jul/20/hot-dogs-rising-heat-makes-it-too-hot-for-africas-wild-dogs-to-hunt Related: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/topic/309413-sixth-mass-extinction-event-under-way/
DebDandelion Posted July 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Sometimes it gets so hot (we don't have air-conditioning in our school) that you struggle to teach. You and the kids wanna.fall asleep! So I feel for the dogs that have to exert themselves.
