Space Commander Travis Posted July 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2017 That picture looks very much like a modified Northrop T-38 Talon. That looks a long way from a practical mach 2 passenger jet that they hope to have flying by the end of the year. My breath is not being held. Timothy Posted July 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Positive: It's a matter of time before aircraft like this are successfully developed. Negative: Prices will be higher than first-class tickets on the airliners we have today. These aircraft are initially being developed for a niche market, think 'richest people ever'. It will take a lot longer for this technology to become commercially viable and available to anything close to the general public.
