Your original link through the Australian bounced to a subscription link. We attempted to bypass that and the replacement link also bounced to a subscription link. Since the Australian links were bouncing, instead of going into your OP and heavily editing it with additions to make it make sense, I oped instead to post up a separate post explaining what happened. So sorry, the source article is turning up as a bounce, and we can't fix that.

Personally....i don't see why it has become such an argument...and political debate.Gay people come from all walks of life,they could be your doctor or surgeon,fire fighter,bus driver.....they do their jobs why can't the governments see that and do their jobs.

And the public doesn't care how it's done, they just want it done. I'm in support of same sex marriage, and like most, don't care if it's a plebiscite or any other kind of vote.

Take the politics out of it, the people just need to be given the choice and it will be over. It's dragged on far too long and it's a shame that the dusty old politicians against it have held it up for so long.
