rashore Posted August 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2017 Quote Eclipse fever is seizing the United States. The nation has ringside seats for literally the “Greatest Show on Earth” — the appropriately named “Great American Eclipse” on Aug. 21, 2017. Right now, the news is filled with viewing tips and advice for avoiding traffic jams during what’s slated to become the most-watched cosmic event in human history. Experts say 200 million Americans will be able to witness the eclipse at least in part, while perhaps a billion more will tune in online from around the world. But, as a former journalist turned professional astrologer, I want to share with you a secret: What astrologers see in an eclipse that you don’t. https://medium.com/@DonnaPhilosophica/what-astrologers-see-in-an-eclipse-that-you-dont-57539ee9b290
back to earth Posted August 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2017 She is a Trumpite ... and somehow sees these omens as good for Trump and America . Not according to astrological theory it won't be ! The king will obviously be 'deposed' . Or have a heart attack or ... " it signifies that the Native shall die an unhappy death; or at least that all his honors, greatness and power shall at last suffer an eclipse and set in a cloud". [Robson*, p.195.] " With Sun: Power, authority, great influence over friends, honor and riches, but violence, trouble and ultimate disgrace and ruin, sickness, fevers, benefits seldom last. [Robson*, p.196.] New Age astrology puts a gloss on everything ... death and destruction is seen as 'a chance for rebirth and the new ! ' Or 'only the best' is seen in a natal chart and a person has 'challenges to work through' . Not in the old original style astrology ..... you born under or effected by a 'malific' ...... you ****ed ! .... and , if I am wrong about this prediction ..... I eat my hat ! < starts making a hat shaped cake >
stereologist Posted August 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Another weird and unsubstantiated write up by an astrologer. Itis full of claims and no reason to believe anything stated. Here are some of the wacky ideas posted: 1. " First, the location from which an eclipse is visible indicates the areas of the world ripe for changes in society, cultures or leadership. " This was a chance for this astrologer to post why the last few eclipses support this statement. Nothing given. 2. " And, in astrological terms, one of our handy timekeepers for deep, long-term changes is plucky little dwarf-planet-with-a-bit-heart Pluto. " That's one of things astrologers yack about but is something these fake predictors never predicted. In fact, they never predicted the existence of anything that was not visible to the unaided eye. 3. Or, what astrologers say amongst ourselves: “You can’t make this **** up!” Yes you can and you do. It is all made up horse pucky of no value.
Indiogene Posted August 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2017 (edited) A week before the TSE will occur, two strong serious subjects strikes the USA: North Korean missile threat on Guam and the Charlottesville rally between white supremacists and opponents. This is a tough time for Pres Trump and all Americans, we might be attacked...or we're divided. But let's calm down and focus on a natural spectacle next week, we're a small world...and life is short, stop the hate and protect ourselves from real dangers. stereologist Posted August 18, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2017 It is true. There are always events happening in the world. People look for significance between unrelated things. The eclipse on Monday is unrelated to events around the world. If astrologers want to find a connection they might report on hotels being 100% booked, traffic jams as people enjoy a natural beautiful spectacle, how to safely view the eclipse, etc. Instead we hear the droning on of how the events on Earth are a reflection of the universe out there. It is time again to announce the greatest predictor of all, the cucumber. The distribution of cucumbers across the world foretell the future. If it were possible to know where everyone of these amazing bringers of knowledge and truth and human empathy were known then it would be possible to accurately predict the future. But the powers that be have hidden this all important knowledge from us for centuries. Who are the few that know where these are grown, stored, and hidden before being delivered to the people who want to know? The cucumber is greater than the eclipse. It is greater than a conjunction. It is greater than anyone suspects.

stereologist Posted August 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2017 Finished off the solar filters for all of the equipment. Cameras, binoculars and a telescope are fitted and tested. Watched the sun and saw sun spots this morning. Looking like the weather will cooperate.

Podo Posted August 21, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2017 This article is a load of trash. It's a crazy person who thinks that the stars and sky influence the world, who happens to be a right-winger, using her already-insane theories to push her own political agenda. It's just as meaningless as any other astrological drivel.

NotAlien7 Posted September 3, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 3, 2017 The Donna Woodwell article was the first material i have ever read about Astrology. Thought it was pretty good i didn't know astrologers had organized ways of interpretation.
stereologist Posted September 3, 2017 #14 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Astrologers in general like to make predictions but they never really say anything or look back to verify if their ideas turned out to be correct. It's much easier to pretend everything is great and not be hassled by all sorts of failures.
