20 Tonnes of chocolate stolen in Germany

18 posts in this topic

Quote

Twenty tonnes of the delicious chocolate-hazelnut spread Nutella, Kinder chocolate eggs and other sweets worth over 50,000 euros, or approximately Rs. 37 lakh, disappeared when thieves stole a truck's trailer in Germany on Saturday. The theft occurred in the German town of Neustadt.

Whether the thieves had planned to steal the sweets or simply came across the loot remains unclear, German media reported a police spokesperson as saying.

Police believe another truck or van must have towed the trailer filled with the sweet treats away on Saturday night because a car would not have been able to tow such a heavy cargo.

What a tragedy. What is the thief/thieves going to do with that much chocolate?

Probably selling them on the black Kinder egg market.

The thieves will be the ones walking around with that circle of chocolate encrusted around their mouths.

An all points bulletin to dermatologists should help to identify the culprits in the midst of massive acne outbreaks.

Another question s, if the trailers haven't been found, where are they being stored?  They'd have to be in some abandoned warehouse or building with a huge "garage" door.

Why does it have to be abandoned? And there are myriads of such buildings.

Maybe it's unclear to them. Lol. A chocolate lover understands that this must have been a plot.
