Ghost/Spirit Songs Thread

I love a great ghost story, true or not. Some songs tell the story, my favorite being the 'Legend of Wooly Swamp'.

One of my brothers would say how "Legend of Wooly Swamp" how this song spooked him. I wouldn't blame him.

When I saw Genesis in concert back in 1983, Phil Collins had the audience put our hands up and have us all go "Whooooooo" before he and the band went into this song. To get the feeling of being ghosts that is part of the song.

Genesis: 'Home by the Sea'

Good stuff. Here's another fav of mine.

A cowboy has a vision of red-eyed, steel-hooved cattle being chased by the spirits of damned and condemned cowboys who have died. One warns him that if he does not change his ways, he will have to join them, forever "trying to catch the Devil's herd across these endless skies".
