SecretSanta Posted November 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I got about halfway through the video and had to stop. I was having difficult time breathing normally watching this.
Still Waters Posted November 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I could never do what they're doing. Apart from being too hemmed in for my liking, I'd be frightened of getting stuck.
spud the mackem Posted November 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Caving is ok when you wear the right gear, like a wet suit is essential, a hard hat and lots of rope , lights etc. and you have to make sure that there is no rain due as caves fill very quickly. 2 good movies to see are "The Descent 1 & 2" (9 out of 10 for Horror) If you want to experience total darkness turn out your lights, its almost like you can feel the darkness on your face.but never try it if you have any doubt about claustrophobia. I went with my 2 sons and friends and my eldest has only 1 leg (ex army Falkland vet) so it was a good laugh when he was in front of me in a narrow crawl space when his false leg fell off .

I crawled in on my belly and couldn't turn around. It's hard going backwards, never again.
GlitterRose Posted November 13, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 13, 2017 Yeah, I don't think I could do that. Getting stuck is a real possibility, and you don't need to be claustrophobic to not want that to happen.
ChrLzs Posted November 13, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2017 I don't like youtube videos for a start, and when you put the words "caving" and "claustrophobia" in the title, you have immediately guaranteed I am not in the potential viewing audience..
Farmer77 Posted November 13, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2017 I am fascinated by caves and the underworld in general. Under the right tutelage I would absolutely go do that
