zarterbox Posted November 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2017 I've never received a tarot reading before and this was my first time. There's an app call 6ya on the app store, where you can speak to tarot readers for free. Anyway, this guy was creepily accurate about some details about my personal life. I asked a vague question about my dating life. He said a lot of things which were exciting, and some things which were kinda edgy. This being a public forum, I don't want to share too many details about the topic. Has anyone else used this or other apps for tarot? Whats your experience with free tarot readings? Is there any way to verify the credibility of the tarot reader? How seriously should I take this guy?

zarterbox Posted November 15, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) @seeder I can probably go back to 6ya and talk to him again.. There was a video call option. What do you mean "verify that tarot cards actually work" ? Edited November 15, 2017 by zarterbox

seeder Posted November 15, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 15, 2017 Cold reading is what you need to know about, do read the whole page, just a snippet from that link Quote Shotgunning might include a series of vague statements such as: "I see a heart problem with a father-figure in your family." A vast variety of medical problems have chest pain as a symptom, and heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. "Father-figure" can refer to somebody's father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, or any male relative who is also a parent."I see a woman with blackness in the chest, lung cancer, heart disease, breast cancer..." Most people will know a woman who was diagnosed with one of these problems, which are among the leading causes of illness and death."I sense an older male figure in your life, who wants you to know while you may have had disagreements in your life, he still loved you." Nearly all people will have had such a person in their lives, and nearly all of them will have had a disagreement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_reading

In which you make any prediction manifest, not because it was predestined to happen, but through your own actions. So the skepticism is healthy on our part. Yours too.
+Nuclear Wessel Posted November 15, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) The thing about tarot cards is that the readings can apply to pretty much anybody, in some form or another... like horoscopes.
