How dinosaur scales became bird feathers

Still Waters

Recommended Posts

The genes that caused scales to become feathers in the early ancestors of birds have been found by US scientists.

By expressing these genes in embryo alligator skin, the researchers caused the reptiles' scales to change in a way that may be similar to how the earliest feathers evolved.

Feathers are highly complex natural structures and they're key to the success of birds.

But they initially evolved in dinosaurs, birds' extinct ancestors.

Just no. Really this isn't on.

At that time, the forms of animals could change more strongly than in our time the animals change under the influence of the environment and this gave rise to such different classes of amphibious and aerial species.

For an ordinary person it would be strange to hear that dinosaur, birds and even the genus of felines originated from a giant ocean snake.

This snake can be observed in every sperm that develops further into that kind of being that parents have.

I don't think you understand how evolution works. Modern animals are just as susceptible to change as any extinct ones. Life didn't originate from a "giant ocean snake" either.

I did not say that they do not change but for example now between animals and birds it is impossible to obtain offspring but earlier this could be all kinds of creatures.

Pterodactyls, connected with snakes, gave birth to vertebrate birds.

About snake( first race in the ocean).I translated using google translator because did not find the chapter of the book in english:

At that time the shaky soil of the Earth was still burning. What is now the oceans was rotating
around the planet in the form of a semi-liquid, half-gas sphere, imbued with a thousand cold
and warm currents boiling in their dark abyss, effervescent and transparent in their higher
layers. Through all these layers, dark or translucent, swirling or calm, already
moved quite a lot of creatures, endowed with a strange life force and
cunning.
No matter how embarrassing this strange ancestor seemed to us, he had a certain
beauty. He seemed more like a fish than a long blue-green snake with a gelatinous and
transparent, casting all the colors of the rainbow body, which allowed to see its internal
organs. Instead of a head in its upper part there was something resembling a fan or
phosphorescent helmet. In this organ, we are the protoplasm of what becomes the brain
rights. For this primitive being he served simultaneously as an organ of perception and
playback. Perceptions, since having no eyes, no ears, this creature thanks to its
Supersensitive organ perceived at a distance everything that approached him and
could harm him, or be useful. It's a kind of flashlight, this big, glowing like
sea jellyfish, the flower also served as a male fertilizing organ. because
that this large jellyfish, dexterous and fast, hid in its undulating body and female
organ, uterus. At certain times of the year, these swimmers, hermaphrodites, were lured by solar
rays into the upper, less dense, parts of the ocean. Fertilization occurred then under
influence of these rays. This means that the bisexual being impregnated itself,
unconsciously and without the participation of the will, as many of today still do, seed
which, dissipating from the stamen, impregnates stigma. Then a new being,
formed in his bosom, gradually took the place of the old. Life of an old being
flowed in the body of the new, and when the latter reached its full flowering, it discarded
its shell, just as a snake resets scales when it changes its skin. It happened,
consequently, a periodic renewal of the animal, but there was neither death nor birth. that
creature did not yet have the self. He lacked what the Hindus call Manas, the embryo
mentality, God's spark of man, crystallizing the center of the immortal soul. He had
like all modern animals only physical, etheric (or vital) and
astral (or radiant) body and thanks to the latter, it had a mixture of sensations,
reminding tactile, auditory and visual. His way of feeling in his primitive
form was reminiscent of the fact that even today people who have this ability are
call the sixth, or a sense of foresight.

*sigh*

Where do I even begin? First off, that is most certainly not how birds evolved. Pterosaurs, snakes, and birds are each their own separate clades and are not nearly closely related enough to interbreed. Birds evolved from paravian theropod dinosaurs sometime in the Late Jurassic. Secondly, the earliest lifeforms were single-celled microorganisms, not snakes. The earliest snakes don't appear until the Middle to Late Jurassic.

This is not possible now because the thickening of physical matter has led to the consolidation of species and mixing them is impossible but in those days they could do it because they were close to a single DNA of all kinds. Even scientists agree that all living things have come from a single cell but they can not know from what essence everything has happened. Therefore, you should ask yourself the question of what kind of all dinosaurs have occurred and then you will approach the common ancestor of all animals. And also can be found the secret from which appeared the race of monkeys which is so close to a person but which for some reason did not become reasonable as a person.

In order to clarify this question it is necessary from the evolution of the earth to which life has just passed and evolved to a physical form that turns to the moon which is the previous place of human life and then it becomes clear that the creatures developed in the ocean not from the cell but were already sufficiently formed beings. To prove this scientifically is impossible because scientists can not figure out evolution on the moon(which used to be one with the Earth) and also what life was in the ocean when the bodies of beings had too tender a structure for their remains to be found.

The fact is that many mystics and spiritual people have risen to what we might call the memory of the whole planet where the record of the entire evolution of man is stored and having seen it one can see with his own eyes how the evolution of all beings and the appearance of races occurred, and this is much better than the scientific "theories of the origin of species". Guess so what is discovered by scientists has long been known to mystics in their true form. Look at the sperm and embryo development and it will tell you the origin of the person and all species in the cycle on the planet earth.

I imagine that even filaments would have considerable survival value, by breaking up the outline of the creature. See "Ghillie suit".

You're right on the money there. Recent research has shown that some dinosaurs had countershaded coloration to break up their outlines (see Vinther et al. 2016, Brown et al. 2017, and Smithwick et al. 2017). Particularly relevant is Sinosauropteryx, which was covered in protofeathers.

Apparently when the birds lived in a hot climate, they could fly having a smooth skin like those of pterodactyls (the ancestor of all the birds emerging from the ocean) but when the climate changed to cold, feathers were already needed and those from whom they appeared survived.
Some archaeologists think that pterodactyls were dragons that have scales and the dragon itself consists of a snake + wings of a pterodactyl.
The image of the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl is found in Aztec mythology. According to the book, this god appeared to people  in such distant times when they still lived in reptile bodies on earth. The evolution of the embryo shows that a person passes through this stage.

The ornithischians will be mad when they find out that they weren't invited.

They're represented by the Ornithoscelidan theropods, it was all done democratically to avoid an over busy photo.
