A big thanks to everyone who has taken part in the 2005 UM Chess Tournament, over 140 games in total have been played, and everyone has done really well.

The top 3 highest scoring participants are as follows:

1. Talon

2. SaRuMaN

3. Thistle

Congratulations to Talon for both coming in first, and for succeeding in playing all his games without losing once.

For those of you who were too late to join in the tournament, and for those participants who'd like another shot at it, another tournament is planned for the near future, so look out for that coming soon. thumbsup.gif

Congratulations to everyone who played, it isn't an issue of how many matches you won or lost, it’s the fact you had the heart and spirit to take part which counts thumbsup.gif

And I wish to especially thank Saru, as I for one (and I would think others here also) only got back into the hobby after many years absence due his decision to hold the tournament.

Congratulations on hosting such a successful tournament Saruman.

Ditto what Talon said.

I hadn't played chess in years. It was a great challenge and a lot of fun.

Thanks Saruman and everyone else. original.gif
