stare at yourself in the mirror

I've had this happen a couple of times. I def. agree that mirrors are creepy, I have a blue night light in mine and it just generally has a creepy vibe in there, old house, yada yada, ultimately I like it though so whatev. Getting back to the topic though. I have had a few experiences with this but when I was a young buck 17-18, all of them were under influence of hallucinogens too, so.

Note to self: don't try this, while alone at night, just having watched the 'Bloody Mary' episode of Supernatural.

Bad mix.

In need of alcohol.

Lol I used to stare at myself in the mirror alot when I was a teenager, because I thought it was interesting. After a while my eyes would unfocus just enough for my face to appear to be shifting into another person or my face would appear to age. I am glad to read I am not the only one who did this :D

I've tried it before. Really weird. I slept with the covers over my head that night.

 same here. It was the most frightening sight looking at myself that long in the mirror.

I can find nothing wrong whatsoever with my reflection. I guess it's just because I'm perfect looking! :P

In all seriousness though, it probably has something to d with your mind getting tired or bored of looking at something for so long.

By the way, wouldn't you very likely get the same "melting" effect if you set up an experiment where you stared at somebody else in a mirror?

I'm too scared to try it out...

If I try it and see something weird, I don't think I will face the mirror again !

My eyes started bleeding in the first 3 minutes.

Can I blink?

Well I did it just now. But my face didn't melt or anything like that. Instead I saw my aura :w00t: ? Like a bright purplish color. Did this happen to anybody else??? :hmm:

I hate mirrors, especially in the dark; i have a bathroom right next to my room and it's a big mirror right in front of the sink and at night when i get up to walk downstairs and can't even look in the mirror; it's just something about looking into the mirror in the dark that's

I feel the same way! It's worse when you're half asleep

who needs a mirror?

I once stared at the floor in my science lab at school for around 5 minutes without blinking (it was a very boring lesson)

After a while, the floor looked like it had cracked in some places, and the cracked plates of floor were moving over each other, And it had changed color, and it looked like there were ants all over it.

Then I blinked, and it was a normal floor again. So I tried again and got the same effect. Was trippy.

i was looking in the mirror 1 morning fixing my hair. Then i felt a warm air around me and my face started to change whilst i was standing there. Then i realised my face was no longer mines but instead was my granpas who had passed away when i was a kid. This made me feel a sense of happiness but was odd at the same time cause it had never happened before that day.

I looked in the mirror for a long time (about ten minutes, trying to get my hair just right) and i swore I seen something behind me, looked dark and shadow-like. And this was in daylight....

Mirrors are weird though...or so I think so. D:

I did it and it was like i was looking at multiple different faces. Some times i had 4 eyes the they all went to the center into 1 eye then i had no face. During that process it was like i could see a sinister face about the size of bottle cap in the center of my face it had the joker from batmans smile and face shape but coulnt see above the nose just the bottom half. Lastly it was as if i was twisting my head like how ghosts move in movies very quickly to all angles with the movement blur.

I, personally, would have turned away around about the moment when my eyes merged together. Thats just weird stuff man...
