Possible Asteroid Collision

I've read this article a while ago and was surprised I did not see the news reach the forums here. I did do a search but nothing came up, so if I am doing a double post, I do apologise.

This is what I read a while ago.

which I took with a grain of salt, although it prompted me to remember to maybe post this sort of thing.

I have no idea where the person who wrote today's article got his info or if he is just being silly. The older article is more newsy.

Yea, I bet in a couple of weeks we will hear "The asteroid won't collide with our planet Earth" You hear these stories every year, and none of them actually happen. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
