OK, these pictures were taken a few months ago while I was running an errand to the bank. I took it using my cellphone, hence the not-so-good quality. I forgot about these pics until today, when I was browsing around on my phone... There's proboably an explanation for it, but I'm just curious as to what others might think...

mm just a wild guess here but 2 jet trails that just happened to overlap?

You get cool looking contrails all the time over here...I am inbetween two major airports.

As everyone has said, they're just jet exhaust trails. Nothing to get hyped up about.

Like frogfish, I am close (in aeroplane terms) to two (fairly) major airports, Liverpool and Manchester, so I know a contrail when I see one.
