It does . And its barely a government conspiracy , they just don't talk about it on the media for who knows why . Nasa admits to the X-plane program and even has released the specs on a government website . cool.gif

There has been speculation on the Aurora as early as the mid 1980's. The airforce reportedly had a line in their budget in the tune of 80 million in 1985 and 2 billion in 1986, the line in the budget disappeared in 87 and no one could find any other place where the funding was hiden. A sighting by 2 airline pilots and 2 other witnesses is attributed to Aurora in 1995 in Manchester. Also seismoligists have recorded sonic booms over southern California on at least five occasions that suggest an aircraft at speeds of around mach 4 but the shuttle and blackbird were not operating those days late in 1991. There is a lot more about it as it seems to be a test program with many mfg's trying to get the bid.

It probably exists, Russians had a similar project with the all the physics figured out but they don't have the funds to finish apparently. There's an article in a scientific publication about the Russian Aurora but I lost the reference.
