5 posts in this topic

Just saw a trailer for a documentry on discovery

Sunday 7th july @ 9.00

End of extinction:cloning the tazmanian tiger.

I wouldn't like to be in the lab if a Thylacine broke loose.

I don't know anything about the documentary, but I remember earlier this year when the story came out, and they were talking about the possibility of cloning to bring back the animals who are extinct because of humans(like the Tasmanian Tiger), as well as cloning those animals on the verge of extinction to prevent them from becoming extinct. I have mixed emotions about this controversial subject, but it is very interesting.

Well i'm all for it, as long as mankind doesn't then believe it doesn't have to protect animals anymore, 'cos "we can always just clone it again..."

PS i agree totaly but we all know that it will probably come down to which is more "Financially viable".

It looks like it worked because i saw another clip of a Thylacine walking around  in undergrowth and it wasn't the old ropey stuff i've seen before.
