Samael Posted March 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) Technically, hummingbird hawkmoths are not native to Britain at all. I saw some in Germany a couple of years ago. Then, slightly fewer years ago, I was in the garden and I realised that there was a hummingbird hawk moth drinking nectar out of the roses. I was gobsmacked. But they're becoming increasingly common in Blighty. It's most likely a by-product of 'global warming.' EDIT: Rank up. Fwee. Edited March 29, 2007 by Mister E. airika Posted March 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2007 I must admit, I had never heard of these. I looked them up, and for all the others that have no idea what they look like, here's a picture.
