It is strange, as for light leaking through the back of the camera, im not sure! Very interesting, love to hear others feedback.

I have a few images that were from the early seventies and they too have lines of colour but I think they are yellow. It should say what year this image was taken and with what on the back of the photo itself. Also I see an image of a man. Had your Grandfather or Uncle passed, around the time this image was taken? that sounds more likely then a camera strap. i don't know what kind of camera was used though.

This is most likely light leaking through the back of the camera. You see it a lot when you use old, or purposely made (to get this kind of random effect) cameras
