A truly courageous man, one can only imagine what it must have been like to live the life he led. RIP Joseph.

Just being called Elephant Man must have been horible...I just hope that all he went through helped science understand his condition a little better and that he was'nt just considered a freak, and that he could help others with such rare condition in the future. He was an example of courage...
