Uploader comment: Took this picture in Ketchikan Alaska a few years ago.Did not see anything at the time but on returning home i noticed what looked like a small ape in the left of the picture any idea what it could be?

Could be anything including a tree.

Confirmation bias-fueled pareidolia. That is a space between the trees where another tree trunk is visible - just like all the other dark spots on the right hand side of the photo.

Ummmm ... yes what they all said and just for information did anybody notice the face like moss in the tree next to the arrow

It's a tree in the far background as it looks like the other trees in the far background. @ MrVegeta1985 Yes I did see it and it's a lot more interesting than the invisible ape. Looks like one of those "green men" you see on English pub signs.
