Chihuahua gangs terrorize Phoenix suburbs

Roaming packs of small dogs are proving to be an unexpected menace in some parts of Arizona.
Chihuahuas might not be the first breed that springs to mind when you think of dangerous dogs, yet for residents of Maryvale the threat posed by these pint-sized canines is proving all too real.

Out of control gangs of Chihuahuas have been seen chasing young schoolchildren, a problem that has generated great concern among parents and school officials. The animals have also been fouling roads and footpaths with impunity, raising concerns over public health.
Animal control officials say they have received over 6,000 phone calls about the animals last year alone and are currently finding themselves overwhelmed by the problem.

"We compared the number of calls we got in 2013 from that area to similar areas in town and the calls from Maryvale were three times higher than surrounding areas," said Melissa Gable of the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. "Part of it is these animals aren't spayed or neutered, so they're out looking for a mate and are having babies, which also contributes to the problem."

I live in the Maryvale section of Phoenix. I have had many encounters with aggressive Chihuahuas while walking in the park. I might walk past a larger dog like a German Shepherd or a Husky, and they will hardly give me a passing glance. But these little canine characters cop an attitude when they walk past with their owner. They are the Napoleon Complexes of the canine world, like they have something to prove. I mean, it's not like they can do an adult much harm except maybe pull your shoelaces loose. LOL!

Lucky has issues but other than that she's a good dog. She's afraid of big dogs and she'll start to whine. Once Lucky gets to "know" someone she's fine with you.

When will i be more then ectoplasmic residue :/ 82 likes 203 posts... thats gotta be Aliens! The mods convene a secret conclave according to an esoteric schedule they have derived, combining the Mayan calendar, the frequency of traffic lights turing red in Mozambique and signals from the spirit world... At these conclaves they determine who is worthy of being elevated to the next level of enlightenment... At each higher level you have to take solemn oaths and sacrifice a digital chicken, swearing you will not reveal any of the secret and mystical information about the TRUE nature of the cosmos...
