Secretive Bilderberg Group to meet this week

The infamous annual gathering of some of the world's most powerful people will take place on Thursday.
Conspiracy theorists have long questioned the nature and purpose of the notoriously secretive discussions that take place at the event which this year is being held at the Marriott Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Attended by a select group of the world's most powerful politicians, bankers and business owners, the meeting on Thursday is believed to include former NSA director Keith Alexander as well as the heads of Google, Shell, BP, HSBC, Airbus and others.
Topics on the agenda this year include "Does Privacy Exist ?", "The future of democracy" and "The new architecture of the Middle East" as well as discussions on events taking place in the Ukraine.

The Bilderberg conference remains something of an enigma due to the fact that the proceedings are governed under a blanket of strict privacy. Some theorists have accused the group of discussing plans for a New World Order or some other nefarious goals while general criticism has been leveled at them for their lack of transparency and accountability.

Whether anything about the conference will be different this year however remains unlikely.

Henry Kissinger in an address to the Bilderberg Organization meeting at Evian, France, May 21, 1992 said the following as transcribed from a tape recording made by one of the Swiss delegates: "Today American's would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the... [More]

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years." He went on to explain: "It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination pra... [More]

“I don’t think it’s true to say that we want to keep it [bilderberg] out [of the public consciousness], we never wanted to get it in. We don’t encourage people to mention it in the mainstream press because we don’t encourage idle speculation about what we do. …… We forbid individual attendees from giving press meetings at our conferences, and we do that not because we’re secrecy mad, but because we want to control the politicians who come.” Martin Taylor – Secretary General, Bilderberg – interviewed by Jon Ronson for the UK Channel 4 TV programme ‘Secret Rulers of the W... I suppose it depends on whether you believe that a One World Government would necessarily be evil. Would it necessarily be worse than all this business of saluting Flags and "My nation is greater than your nation"? Would it necessarily lead to genocide and the enslavement of the Masses? Might, in fact, it be able to keep control of religious extremism and be able to stamp out radical sects of any particular religion before they could cause trouble? Not saying I necessarily think it would be one way or other , but why not think about these things rather than just knee-jerk horror?

Would it necessarily lead to genocide and the enslavement of the Masses? Might, in fact, it be able to keep control of religious extremism and be able to stamp out radical sects of any particular religion before they could cause trouble? Who would decide that? It sounds like it could lead to yet more genocide and enslavement at worst, the odious oppression created from smug bigotry at best. A rose by any other name is just as sweet, and a totalitarian by any other name is just as rank. I'll stick with our First Amendment, which guarantees *our* non-violent religious liberties.

I once had the pleasure of sitting in the Judges chambers with the defence and prosecuting attorney as they went through the docket for the day and basically decided the outcome of all the cases. I think Bilderberg is similar to this. The people in court thought thet were getting their due process but the outcome had already been decided.

I'm surprised that members treat the Bilderberg Group so lightly. As far back as 1971, Gary Allen published a book entitled, "None Dare Call it Conspiracy". In the book he details the aims of a secretive international group of very high power people from industry, the media, governments and Armed Forces. The basic goal of the group was creation of a New World Order-a central international government which would control the whole world. In effect, he described the Bilderberg Group precisely. The Bilderbergs are linked to the also secretive Knights of Malta, and to the Illuminati, a Roman Cathol... [More]
