Meet Graham - a man resistant to car crashes

Road safety authorities have created a model of a human being that has evolved to survive car accidents.
Perhaps the most unusual looking human ever conceived, Graham represents what our species would look like if it had evolved the physical characteristics needed to survive road accidents.

Graham's peculiar physical features include a massive, warped head (which does away with a neck entirely) and a bizarre-looking reinforced chest designed to withstand extreme impacts.

Created by the Victorian Transport Accident Commission (TAC), this remarkable model of an alternatively evolved human is intended to demonstrate how vulnerable we are on the roads.

"People can survive running at full pace into a wall but when you're talking about collisions involving vehicles, the speeds are faster, the forces are greater and the chances of survival are much slimmer," said TAC chief executive officer Joe Calafiore.

"Cars have evolved a lot faster than humans and Graham helps us understand why we need to improve every aspect of our roads system to protect ourselves from our own mistakes."

There you go again. Trying to make sense of useless grants and funding.  We need to find someone to fun a study find how many bowling balls it takes to knock down 15 pins instead of 10.  Could start a new interest in bowling.

Probably the same people who funded research into how melting glaciers effect feminism.

There is a lot of misconception with regard to vehicular accidents. These dramatic external modifications make their point, but don't address the frequent internal injuries, such as the ligamentum arteriousum causing a tear in the aorta during rapid deceleration resulting in about twenty percent of the fatalities. Let's hope Graham also has the evolved intelligence to know that it's not about trying to survive an accident, rather it's really about accident avoidance by driving the best handling vehicle defensively.

I wonder what a human immune to hunger looks like? Seriously people are waisting money on this? When people are starving? Show a picture of someone after a car crash that will raise awareness and its free. Idiots.
