It has been asked why Bundy would haunt the cell and execution room, when he wanted to get out of them so very badly. Well, perhaps this is part of his personal Hell. No one ever accused The Devil of a lack of creativity, so it makes sense to bind him to the places he least enjoyed in life. There's a sort of poetic justice in that. Frankly, I've often felt that if Justice exists on the other side, then the victims of murderers will be 10-feet tall, muscular, enraged and have an assortment of pain-inducing items to be used on and in the body of the murderer. How come the authorities didn't delay the execution date if he'd offered to identify the location of further bodies? Was it because he'd escaped before and they didn't want to risk it? Just thinking that if one of my loved ones was among the missing I'd hope for a chance to recover the remains and give them a proper ceremony. It's an interesting story, I like the theory about punishment after death. Nice one

Yeah back then people didn't have the internet and also the population was far lower than it is today-leaving the imagination for would be killers to roam virtually seamlessly.
