Intel wants brain implants by 2020

Putting new meaning to the slogan "Intel Inside", Intel researchers are planning to develop brain implants that can be used to control different gadgets directly via brain waves by the year 2020.

Researchers expect brain waves to operate computers, TVs and cell phones. If the idea of turning consumers into true cyborgs sounds creepy, don't tell Intel researchers. Intel's Pittsburgh lab aims to develop brain implants that can control all sorts of gadgets directly via brain waves by 2020.

I agree. Let the rich kids be the guinea pigs for the first few years. Then, once they work the kinks out, prices for the surgery and equipment come down, and it becomes more common, I'll consider it.
