A new fossil find has revealed a prehistoric Velociraptor in deadly combat with a Protoceratops.
The find depicts a scene that would have been commonplace in the prehistoric world, the vicious predator would have attacked and fought with the herbivorous Protoceratops - in this case however it looks like the two dinosaurs may have killed one another at the same time.
A predatory Velociraptor has been caught in the act of eating another larger plant-eating dinosaur. Palaeontologists have uncovered fossil fragments of Velociraptor teeth alongside scarred bones of the large horned herbivore Protoceratops.
