Memorial to 'fallen aliens' wanted in Ukraine

In a bizarre story this week UFO enthusiasts in the Ukraine want to build a memorial to "fallen aliens".

Money is being collected to fund the monument that would be built in the city of Berdichev and would commemorate aliens that the organisers believe perished in various collisions and other disasters upon visiting the Earth.

"These "ufologists" are collecting money for their extraterrestrial monument in the historic northern city of Berdichev, the project's organizer, Aleksandr Nalisman, told a local newspaper."

I actually think that this is a great idea. I have no idea why, but when I first saw this thread I though -- Why the hell not!

Don't laugh but I think it's a good idea too. It bodes well for the human race in general. It says something about respecting the lives of other than our own. On one hand, if all the conspiracies are true, then it's highly in order to do something like this to show 'them' that we are not all greedy barbarians and on the other hand, if aliens haven't been here, this will be something for future 'visitors' to see that there are some thoughtful humans on this stupid planet. I always feel a bit sad when a Predator dies. Especially the second movie, when he screams like that. Yeah, it would be nice to acutally see a movie where one actually survives. Heh.
