Explorers who discovered smudge marks on their car believed to be from Bigfoot are appealing for help.

The discovery of the smudge marks made in California's Sierra National Forest has generated a new wave of interest in the Bigfoot phenomenon, Jeffrey Gonzalez and colleagues have appealed for help in carrying out a DNA test to determine once and for all if the marks were made by a Bigfoot or something else. "Since nobody knows what a Bigfoot is, there's no available DNA for it. But by testing this DNA, by process of elimination we can find out if it was a bear, gorilla, baboon or something else," he says.

"With two paw marks clearly visible on the car window, this smudge could provide the DNA evidence that finally proves the existence of Bigfoot."

When I first saw this I thought it was also a bear. It looks like a bear, look at the nose that could tell you just about for sure it is a bear. These guys want to find something so bad that they just get to excited and talk themselves into seeing something that isn't there. What ever became of the DNA? There was a show on this subject several years ago and they found prints on the window of the rig. They got just as excited and thought it was going to be proof positive of bigfoot. They called in an expert to finger print the rig before they moved it. Turns out it was a bear and they were pret... [More]

Sounds like someone trying to make another quick buck. To me the original image shown didnt even look like a bigfoot. It also looks like if they were "looking in" they really wanted in as it looked like they must have pressed its shoulder/upper body against the window as well. Wouldnt that just be an unnatural thing to do if looking into a window? The biggest case since Patterson film LMAO. That is good. I thought the hunters with bigfoot in the freezer was the biggest case since Patterson... Oh yeah, that was a hoax too...

In order to keep our cred as rationalists, we need to carefully parse these events into catagories like: Hoax, Overzealousnes misidentification, unknown encounter, etc. This was not a hoax. It is clearly a misidentification.
