Man sent gigantic slipper by mistake

A man ordering slippers online was sent a size 1450 due to a mistake with the decimal point.

Tom Boddingham had ordered a size 14.5 slipper but was astonished when his gargantuan order arrived. "It was sent directly from Hong Kong and measures 210 x 130 x 65cm – the same length as a grizzly bear or a family car," he said. The huge slipper is in fact so large that he was able to sit inside it like a sleeping bag.

Sometimes when you buy a pair of shoes, one of them can feel snug while the other one does not quite fit. Tom Boddingham certainly knows the feeling.

I would have thought this would be obvious. Companies do factor in cost of materials and production when making a product. It's not uncommon for larger sizes in clothing to cost a little more. Scaling something up like that would incur a significant increase in price and prevent such an "accident" from ever possibly occurring.

Surely something like that would be noticed before it was shipped? O_o

Who can believe such a ridiculous story. Oh yeah, we're going to make that item and mail it to you at no extra cost. You all know the original story comes from a tabloid website. Just mark this one as not worthy of posting here!

False or not, it made me laugh and smile at the end of a really depressing, otherwise wasted day.

You could sleep in that thing, LOL! There once was a guy who lived in a slipper because they sent him the wrong size.

pure crap. why would someone want a bigger slipper for a slightly larger foot when it has no back anyway?
