Papyrus makes reference to Jesus' wife

A message inked on an ancient scrap of papyrus seems to suggest that Jesus may have been married.
The controversial discovery was made public yesterday by historian Karen L King at an international meeting of Coptic scholars. The scrap of papyrus is thought to have been written in the 4th century and is no bigger than a business card. In faded letters the text includes the words "Jesus said to them, 'My wife.." and further on it reads "she will be able to be my disciple."The owner of the parchment has asked to remain anonymous, however experts who have studied it have so far concluded that it is unlikely to be a forgery. If it turns out to be genuine then it could reignite the debate over whether Jesus was married and, as long rumored, whether his wife could have been Mary Magdalene.
The discussion is particularly animated in the Roman Catholic Church, where despite calls for change, the Vatican has reiterated the teaching that the priesthood cannot be opened to women and married men because of the model set by Jesus.
