Dolphins trained for underwater warfare

The Ukranian navy are arming dolphins with knives and pistols to defend against underwater attackers.

The bizarre tactic is part of the country's marine mammal program which aims to train dolphins to attack enemy swimmers using special weapons attached to their heads as well as to seek out and mark underwater mines. Described as "counter-combat swimmer tasks in order to defend ships in port and on raids" the exercises are being carried out at the state oceanarium in Sevastopol.

This isn't the first time dolphins have been trained for military purposes either, during the Cold War the Soviets once deployed dolphins equipped with carbon dioxide filled syringes, trained them to attach mines to ships and even explored the idea of having them parachute in to the sea from an aircraft.

"Killer dolphins with knives and pistols attached to their heads."

The united states navy has a sealion ,dolphin program ,and its not search and rescue ,if you get my meaning . Yeah I just read this article about DOLPHIN killings: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/viewnews.php?id=238038 If dolphins are being USED TO KILL AND MUTILATE HUMAN LIFE, then they are better off dead don't you think? I don't think God created them to be killing machines and they would rather be happier dead than alive... because now they are mind controlled and can't swim free as they will any longer, and must live and act according to man's rule? What the hell? THE OCEAN IS owned ... [More]

tsk3x its hard to train them... but what's the use? you can't use a mistake to solve a another mistake... war.. I don't know this sounds like some form of propaganda the military is using to FOOL people to make them think the MILITARY IS REALLY THAT OMNIPOTENT (all mighty and powerful) to even train a wild animal, only GOD has control and authority over.... as if to say "don't mess with the military we can do anything to get you out of this life", sounds more along the lines of the illuminati and the HAARP experiments where people are telling the public that THE ILLUMINATI has enough power to ... I heard once that the Navy also had a program that put a seagull(or some other bird) in a clear dome underneath search and rescue aircraft to spot downed pilots and perhaps other things with their keen, always observant eyesight. They were trained to peck a signal pad when they spotted something trained to be of interest. Pretty sure it was just experimental. Likely electronic technological advances made this approach obsolete. man always sought power over nature since the beginning of time... now they want to make everyone believe they can conquer nature absolutely via these false claims to c... That has been done, ask a Vietnam vet. Put a bomb on a baby and turn her loose in a crowd. It is horrible what humans can come up with. I can only hope the dophins will turn on their trainers. Nature always turns on those playing GOD, take Titanic for example, the engineer swore the ship would never sink due to his calculations and that he is greater than god, and bam he hits an ice berg and he is god no more.... I can't believe they would even use babies as body bombs... what the hell?

An octopus assassin could be useful, or a killer whale strapped with explosives... They are using animals as machines because in their mind it is better than using humans right? But what is the difference between an animal rigged with explosive sent on a path of destruction and a SOLDIER in the navy etc being used for the exact same thing... either way both the animal and the soldier gets killed and is used as "pinions" in the GAME of the super powers.... they are just bait, decoys and probes... men used in the same way...

I wish everyone would just leave the animals out of it. They have been using dogs forever in wars and not much is said about that. When they tally up the war dead they need to include the animals they use. Well I've always been against that. No animals should be used in human wars. It's not fair on them when they don't have our idealogies or choice to sign up. Don't people compare dogs etc to infants..... Lets start using infants in war shall we then? People wouldn't liek that, why a dog then? War is medieval and pathetic enough without us dragging other animals into it.
