A man dressed as the Caped Crusader handed a wanted man over to a police station in Bradford.

The mysterious crime-fighter walked in to Trafalgar House Police Station with the suspect in tow in the early hours of February 25th. Without revealing who he was he promptly turned and left, leaving his identity something of a mystery. The man he brought in was later charged with handling stolen goods and fraud offenses.

"Last week we had a very strange occurrence at the police station when a male wanted for an offence on our area was 'escorted' into our helpdesk at Trafalgar House by Batman," said the area's neighbourhood police team on Facebook. "Batman came into the helpdesk, stated to the staff 'I've caught this one for you' and then promptly vanished into the night to fight crime and the fear of crime in Bradford."

"Batman" was later revealed to be 39-year-old Chinese takeaway delivery driver Stan Worby.

How long do you think it'll be before the man in the Batman uniform is arrested and fined by police due to "unlawful arrest" whilst the criminal is let off scot-free? Anyway, this all reminds me of that hilarious December 23rd 1996 episode of Only Fools and Horses (my favourite TV programme) when brothers Del Boy and Rodney, on their way to a fancy dress party dressed as Batman and Robin but, embarrassingly for them, having to walk the rest of the way when their three-wheeled van breaks down on the way, rescues a woman from a gang of muggers because the muggers just turned and r...
