Just to play devils advocate here. Heh, devil. are falling to the ground in school, screaming for Satan to leave them alone For some odd reason my mind immediately jumped to ergot poisoning. Remember that? I was speculating that people prone to believing in demons might react this way to that sort of problem. Remember when we thought the mentally ill were possessed? children to Onandjokwe Hospital, where no illness was found.I am apt to wonder how well they looked? What sort of tests did they run? If they even did toxicology tests, how in-depth were they? Many things do not show up on standard... [More]

This sounds like a case of one person suffering from bouts of spontaneous human combustion, and the rest is more than likely mass hysteria.

Yeah but kids just falling on the ground screaming doesn't seem like mass hysteria O_O.... At least not to me.

Yeah but kids just falling on the ground screaming doesn't seem like mass hysteria O_O.... At least not to me. Have you ever seen a film of someone suffering from SHC? I have only seen a film of a man with a mild case of it who had one arm that would smoke up and start to burn, but it might be on the net somewhere. It was covered by a professional news crew. All it would take would be a small group of children to see the smoke errupt from the person and hear them howl in pain and fear to set off the chain reaction. Real and genuine fear is very contagious.
