thats almost heart breaking that he was sent to jail without being proven a fraud his pictures are amazing and eerie i hope our 21st century eyes can figure out if they were real or not

Mary Todd Lincoln, widow of the assasinated war criminal Abraham Lincoln, was a spiritualist and was duped by Mumler. I recall a number of photographs of the former first lady with deceased loved ones.
