news icon rNasa's new orbiter at Mars has taken a spectacular picture of the Opportunity rover sitting on a crater's rim. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter arrived at the Red Planet in March and has only recently moved into a prime position to begin science investigations.

Its view of Victoria Crater will help US space agency researchers decide where to send Opportunity to make ground observations. Imaged from a height of 275km, the 2.3m-wide rover appears as a tiny dot.

I can't wait to see the Viking 2 Lander on Mars. It is amazing that we have that technology to take snapshots that in much an clarity and detail. Also I am beginning into truly in believeing that some satelitte had taken a picture of me :innocent:

:) You better start wrapping foil around your head and suspend hangers on your ceiling!

Must be awe-inspiring to roam an entire planet at the comfort of your own home. Although, whoever the lucky person that will embark in a shuttle ride to Mars will be far more exhilarated! How I envy them sometimes!
