Spectacular lenticular clouds



A few times each year in Santa Clarita, the conditions are just right for these strange clouds to form.

Mt Rainier in Washington State is a very prolific lenticular cloud generator (so are Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kilimanjaro). Saw some hanging over Ranier just a few weeks ago. They really are bizarre and spectacular.
