Hawking is an incredible man. His 1st statement was that science can explain the creation of the universe. So basically goodbye religion. H'm. I do agree with him about genetic engineering. He says it's the biggest ethical dilemma scientists face and I would tend to agree. Anything, to me, that reeks of Nazi super race breeding is not on. If it could be used solely to prevent diseases say like haemophilia for example being passed down a family then yes. But when you give the right to choose who should live and who should die into the hands of a few, then you're just looking for trouble. IMO.
