The 2012 hype started when a new age writer called Jose Arguelles needed his 15 minutes of fame. He got more than that, he sold more than a million copies of his book. Socalled "Mayan Elders" smelled money, and helped to spread the news. The real Mayan elders knew nothing about these Doomsday prophecies, and just mumbled about some crazy Western guy raping the remnants of their culture. I will predict that at December 2012 only Arguelles and his followers will have a bad time, and why? The whole world will laugh at their faces. HAHA That was a great vid. I just love all the idiotic prophecies that come out as they make me feel real intelligent. :an example of woolly headed new agey hipppy thinking.. My 2011 calendar ended 18 days ago and I am still waiting for the world to end
