well done - very plausible explanation - I remember the story well from my younger days, as this incident happened about 20 miles from my hometown.

If he was in an environment that required he wear the suit I'd expect it to look a lot cooler than that. But he looks more like he walked off the Robinson Crusoe on Mars movie set.

Good explanation, but this figure was also supposedly seen on camera at a near by missile test range that delayed the launch of an Blue Streak missile.
