This is from a very good friend, her name is Gail Bardis I want to share what she sent this morning.
Good Morning, After the Bible, I enjoy the dictionary. It contains the words that define our lives..our world. A word that I have recently become involved with is self. It is worth checking out the long list of self words in the dictionary..self-doubt, self-hate, self-isolation, self-mocking, self-obsessed, self-control, self-centered....Try using these words to describe yourself and to describe
Our encounter with God is one that both wounds us and leaves us in wonder at Him, so Scripture suggests.
How can this be? To be wounded and to wonder seem to have nothing to do with each other. Being wounded is something personal, something we hide from others. We bind and bandage up our wounds. When we are injured we stay home from school or work and abstain from all but necessary errands. Healing wounds of any kind is a private affair.
Why You Should Still Care about Ferguson DESPITE the Facts
As the family of Michael Brown and the President of the United States ask for peace and change and this is what we see. However, it is important to note that this does not mean most African Americans are involved in the looting. Not at all.
Why I Secretly Root For the Atheists in Debates…
Posted By Robert Hutchinson In 2008, after my book The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Bible came out, I was asked to fly to Ireland to participate in a debate on the existence of God at University College Cork. I had been doing radio interviews for my book and was very comfortable discussing some of the sillier arguments atheists use to attack Christianity or the Bible – for example, that the Bible is full of scientific “errors” a
(RNS) Since atheist blogger Martin Hughes left Christianity, he hasn’t missed believing in God or in hell.
But he does miss heaven.
“I wish that there was one to go to, and that’s the truth,” Hughes wrote in a blog post, adding that his view is probably not “atheistically correct.” In Hughes’ version of heaven, he would “understand everything.” There would be “deep, rich happiness that feels like Mom’s sweet potato pie on Thanksgiving.”

Weird Things Happen (A trip to Medjugorje )
I was an Anglican curate when I saw the sun spin. It happened like this. One of the teenagers in the parish had been to Medjugorje and suddenly got keen on the Blessed Virgin Mary. He joined a Medjugorje prayer group and twisted my arm to go with them on a visit to the Bosnian town where the Virgin Mary was supposed to have been appearing to some local youngsters. I resisted, pleading poverty. Then someone in the pilgrimage group wiped out my excu
I keep being told that if only people were more educated, or read more, or were just more intelligent, and then religion would fade away. Of course none of the above is true. The more educated a person is the deeper their faith will be if they do in fact do all of the above.
I believe that the adage: ''we become what we hate" is easily shown in anyone who is bombastic about the beliefs of others. Be it from atheist or believers of whatever flavor.
Perhaps it is a human need to come out o
Virgin Mary’s message given on September 2nd 2013
“Dear children, I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in my heart. All of you have my motherly love and I desire to lead all of you to come to know God’s joy. This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to comprehend the meaning of their life along side God’s word. To be able to do this, my children, through prayer and fasting you must learn to
Cantu said he has to look into whether the tears were a hoax, but, he said, “even if it were (a hoax), we are not sure how it would be done, physically. Because it is hardened bronze. We’ve examined the interior, and there’s nothing on the interior.”
I think it’s absolutely an authentic apparition. Young and old come to Medjugorje and return changed, enlightened. Young people become believers. People are fascinated by the wonders that are happening. I think that those who go to Medjugorje to get what they need in terms of belief. Vatican exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth
Two Marines (twins) and the Blessed Mother in Viet Nam
(I have permission to post this from Spirit Daily)
Joseph Nasiatka, the former Marine whose accounts of the Blessed Mother stirred a massive response at this website many years ago, died November 30. His account is below.
It was a month — November — that also saw the death of Jim “Zdenko” Singer, a reputed visionary from the Toronto area who died after years of illness. Two seers. Two exemplary Catholics. Two suffering souls in a
Turning the Problem of Evil On Its Head
Many atheists are fond of using the argument from evil to debunk the notion of God. It goes something like this:
If God is all-powerful (omnipotent), He could stop evil.
If God is all-loving (omnibenevolent), He would stop evil if He could.
Therefore, if an omnipotent, omnibenevolent God existed, evil would not.
Evil exists; therefore, an omnipotent, omnibenevolent God does not.
Another variation of the argument was put forward by the Gre
I find systems like the I Ching and tarot interesting tools. I did use the Tarot for about 25 years but it has been years since I have used it. When I started to use the Tarot, I found the cards gave me a way to give names to aspects of my inner self, as well as the relationship they had with each other, and how I could stand outside and learn from each of them. Perhaps it gave a way for my fragmented self to speak to me and not just have vague irrational images.
The healthy thing about such
