Adults need quiet solitude too. In a world full of raucous noise, endless distraction, mindless entertainment, infinite information, angry bickering, and depressing news, we sometimes need quiet solitude just to hang on to our sanity and make it from one day to the next. However, the maddening pace of our lives and loud demands of our culture can make it very challenging to find that place of quiet solitude for ourselves.
NNOUNCEMENT OF THE BISHOP OF LEGNICA
On the Eucharistic Miracle in St. Jack Parish in Legnica
Sisters and Brothers in Our Lord Jesus Christ!
As The Bishop of Legnica I hereby announce to the public and inform about an event that took place in the parish of St. Jack in Legnica which has the signs of the Eucharistic miracle. On 25th December, 2013 during the distribution of the Holy Communion, a consecrated Host fell to the floor and then was picked up and placed in a water-filled container
The mysteries of (the image of) Guadalupe
Incredible it is how many times the Blessed Mother's image as presented at Guadalupe has been perceived on objects and buildings in recent times: windows, trees, even a highway overpass. In the legitimate cases, when it isn't an imaginative reach, what is she trying to tell us? Why is it so prevalent now? Is it simply the influx of Mexicans? Or is there more to it? It's things like that we will be delving into during our journey as well as in the bo
Credited by many as the founder of the woman’s rights movement, and herself the mother of 7 children, Elizabeth Stanton was clear that she considered abortion to be a form of infanticide, and therefore rejected it totally. She also blamed men for abortion, saying that it was a symptom of the oppression of women (rather than a sign of their empowerment!).
If you live His word
I believe that there is something to the apparitions at Medjugorje, and the Blessed Mother is being used by God to try to reach us and bring us all into a deep loving relationship with Jesus. Many non-Catholics go there, as well as others from other religions. Muslims and Hindus and those who are more agnostic, yet each find that they come closer to God, many coming to Jesus. I think this message is truly beautiful, one of the best I believe that have come out of
Nurse Quits After Witnessing Abortion on 4-Pound Baby Girl
(LiveActionNews) — The essay “Products of Conception” is a first-hand account from a nurse who worked in a hospital that did abortions. It’s appeared in a little-known book called “The Abortion Debate: TCU Voices,” which was released in 2012.
Learning About The Quran ... From A Catholic Archbishop
For years, Fitzgerald has been urging his fellow Christians to acquaint themselves with Islam and its holy book, the Quran. It has been a challenging mission at a time when many non-Muslims associate Islam with violence and when many Muslims think the West has declared war on their faith.
Miracles, like those connected to the appearance or the intercession of the Virgin Mary, cannot possibly be explained as work of Satan. Miracles which, for all intents and purposes, draw millions to Jesus Christ Himself. When I dug deep into the historical miracles of the Catholic Church, especially those connected with the intercession and appearance of the Virgin Mary, I knew I had something enormous to contend with. What I found, dear reader, blew my mind.
Do young atheists bond in a collective flight from death?
Written by Michael Tymn (Michael Tymn's blog)
A web site called The Friendly Atheist recently came to my attention. The first thing that struck me was that the editor and eight of the nine regular contributors all appeared to be in their 20s or early 30s, the ninth contributor perhaps in his 50s. Their brief biographies suggested that most of them were raised in religious homes and are now rebelling against organized religion without a
This is another great piece by James Behrens. As usual he brings in a
story that goes along with the Scriptures. I have permission to share this.
The Pharisee and the Publican
A friend of mine recently told me that she does not feel God’s presence
in her life. She said that she does not doubt the existence of God but
that she had no sense of his presence in the daily routines of her life.
She is active in her church. She is married and the mother of grown
children. I know her she is
James is a very good writer who has a gift of writing about life and seeing God and grace at work in all situations. I would like to share one of his writings with you. I knew James’s mother and loved her. She was intelligent, insightful, with a good sense of humor. His family is close knit and it shows in how they loved and took care of their mother. I hope you like the story that he has given me permission to share.

Good Morning, After the Bible, I enjoy the dictionary. It contains the words that define our lives..our world. A word that I have recently become involved with is self. It is worth checking out the long list of self words in the dictionary..self-doubt, self-hate, self-isolation, self-mocking, self-obsessed, self-control, self-centered....Try using these words to describe yourself and to describe
