About this blog

I am not a random, non-sensical lunatic, and my blog is not full of inane rants and ravings. What's so great about that stuff anyway?

Ransom Note

Im sure youve heard any text thats hard to read (usually because it's got sticky caps or too much text effects) described as being like a ransom note. well, i got it into my little mind to make an ACTUAL ransom note. Beauty - (theory)

i will start this thread off with a reflection on beauty. i have a theory on what humans find beautiful, but i shall get to it in a second. these days, the ideally beautiful woman is very thin. have you ever looked at the Mona Lisa? in the time that was painted, she was the idea of a perfect beauty. but if youve ever really looked at her, you would see that, by today's standards, she's kind of chubby to be a ravishing beauty. see that lady? thats Ruth Ke'elikolani. she was once considere

adieu and thanks

well, im going to be leaving internet forums all together for a while, this one included. its really a bad time what with the blog just started and all that, but i plan on coming back eventually. i just wanted to say a few words of thanks before leaving to everybody, for tolerating my garbage and listening when you did, but a few good folks especially, in no particular order: Cheat - (cheat was my buddy for M. Snufferpuffer's 'Make a Buddy Day'), youre just so nice its almost scary. Mme.

house chicken & stuff

well, Mme. Dot, its a typical chicken, you know the sort, named Marie Jolie. she's sick with crop impaction, which is pretty much when they eat so much food so fast that their digestive system almost shuts down. yes, theyre brilliant animals. so you have to feed the chicken very little, force it to drink alot, and keep it walking around so it will get its bowels moving. now, the weather is not cold outside, its just perfect, and there is a perfect spot for Marie Jolie to stay until she gets bett

POEM HELP!

I saw an Owl Late last night; The night the moon Was glowing bright. The owl glided In the moon’s pearly light On silent wings – A gorgeous sight. The Owl touch’d down To the thick-grassed ground And flew up again Without a sound. As the owl flew off I thought I saw That it had a mouse In its firm-gripping claw. Some death is as quiet As the flight of a bird; Some death is as quiet As an unspoken word. I wrote that poem myself, and i rather proud of it. i

More Stuff (sounds interesting, doesnt it?)

well, i thought of a bit more to say. {yet another warning: i dont know what im talking about in this entry....but pay attention to me!!!!!!!!!} gosh, the democrats. its okay to burn, cut up, trample in mud, make ponchos out of, or in any way disrespect the american flag because its free speech! but the confederate flag? AHHH! MUST NOT BE ALLOWED! the democrats are so unpopular in the south there is practically a bounty on them. i would talk about social security, but i dont know anything

half empty half full / horrible

just in case you dont know, there is this old saying, much like the 'which came first, the chicken or the egg?' saying, that says 'is a cup half empty, or half full?'. well, this is my idea on it: if the cup was completely empty, and its got water up to its middle mark but its still being filled, then its HALF FULL. because its in the process of being filled. if the cup was completely full, and its got water up to its middle mark but is being emptied, then its HALF EMPTY. because its in

hats and dinosaur colors

you know whats sad? that nobody wears hats anymore. the age of the hats is gone. if you watch an older television show, especially one from the fifties, youll notice that everybody wore hats back then. all the men had hats, all the women had hats, even all the kids wore hats. nobody even went out their house without some kind of hat on. now, the only hats being worn are baseball caps, straw hats (usually worn only by little old ladies working in their flower beds) and those stupid floppy-brim fe

UM social shifts and rubber chickens

M. Falco said that, and its got me thinking. thats not the only big shift going on on UM right now. does it seem to anybody else that the younger members are being accepted more and more into the forum? lately i see us being truly listened to, and recognized, and most of all, stepping outside of our age group and talking and being talked to, in ways that we havent been doing in a long time. i got a rubber chicken today. it was supposed to be a christmas present, but it came in the mail late. it

King Mudboots

i just realized something. UM has its kings: theres a king of posting, a king of sarcasm, a king of arguing, a king of debating, a king of topic-making, even a king (or queen) of smilies, and of course a king of moderators. but i......i am not the king, or prince, or master, or even poster child of anything. there is nothing i can be called a king at, nothing i excel in, nothing i do here particularly well, and, actually, nothing to get noticed for. im just this kid that hangs around. well, no

pointlessness

you know what? chimpanzees can learn to recognize their reflection in mirrors, but monkeys cannot. and something else; in about twenty-seven days, an average human has had all the skin cells on his/her face replaced. i wonder why i stay on this forum. i have lots of fun here, its my all-time favorite site on the internet. i dont really have any friends here. there are alot of people that are very nice to me when they dont have to be, im friendly with alot of people, but i dont really have

crazy=cool?

why is being crazy cool? you see all the blogs with descriptions like 'nothing but the inane banter of a crazy person' or 'things i like to rant poinlessly about' or 'this probably wont make any sense to anybody' and such. why does everybody seem set on pretending theyre insane? is it really that cool to be crazy? why do all my fellow teenagers incessantly remind everybody that they are 'the craziest person ever' and 'just off the edge of insanity' and 'going insane' and such? normally, i would

cheese, crackers, and skeptics

a couple folks have asked me to join in with the skeptics club. but, im not sure i want to, or if i would go in there. first of all, im not entirely sure i qualify. i believe in voodoo, ley lines (up to a point), mental vibrations, and life on other planets (not UFO's or aliens as in greys, but life. animals and bacteria, you know). and thats about all in the Unexplained. but, while i am very skeptical towards the unexplained, i think i more than qualify as a believer in God and religion and suc

You can if you think you can

usually, i really hate those sappy, feel-good "you can if you think you can" type stories (i mean, REALLY), but i have one to relate that is 100% real and can fill up a blog entry very nicely indeed. first, let me introduce the cast. i was going to change their names to protect their identities, but i decided i didnt need to, mainly since theyre all chickens: Attila the Hun - a Sumatra, among the very top of the pecking order, big, strong, mean, a real lady's man, and he gets anything he wants

I don't know what I'm talking about

{warning: I dont know what im talking about} Iraq had its elections last night and early today. on the television, there were people (in Iraq) dancing in the streets in lines, and singing and hugging each other. women were going without veils and had on jeans and thier hair dyed. one woman who had a baby last night named it Election, and another named hers Liberty. I think Iran will be short behind them in it. im sort of suspicious that the new president is going to become some new Saddam,

Fields have Turned Brown

my favorite song of all time. I left my old home to travel this country My mother and dad said "son, don't go wrong" Remember that God will always watch oe'r you And we'll always be waiting for you here at home. "Son don't go astray" - thats they both told me Remember that love for God can be found But now they're both gone - this letter just told me For years they've been dead; the fields have turned brown For many long years I've rambled in sorrow No thoughts of the day whe

liberal dumbness

okay, the greatest manifestation of stupidity on a liberal television news channel ever......... theres a big bad criminal on the run, hes wanted by the law badly, theres a huge manhunt thing, and the news channel describes him with details like: wearing a grey parka and bright orange tennis shoes clean-shaven so-and-so feet tall last seen in so-and-so sort of vehicle and so on. but they never, NEVER tell you if he's a black guy, a white guy, an oriental guy, or whatever, because thats

revised band list

in april i made an entry that was a list of my favorite bands. well, my tastes have changed alot since that time (for instance, im tired of country music, zydeco, and alot of my previously favorite rock bands) so today i started out with a mission: make a new, revised and improved list of my favorite bands. but i kept narrowing down and narrowing down the old, way-too-lengthy list until i ended up with just this: Peter, Paul and Mary (Folk) John Denver (Folk/Country/Pop) James Taylor (Folk

a bird in a gilded cage

i wanted to share this old vaudeville song with anyone who wants to read it: The ballroom was filled with fashion's throng, It shone with a thousand lights; And there was a woman who passed along, The fairest of all the sights. A girl to her lover then softly sighed, "There's riches at her command." "But she married for wealth, not for love," he cried! "Though she lives in a mansion grand." "She's only a bird in a gilded cage, A beautiful sight to see. You may think she's h

Snoop-dog, Socrates, Tull & death to computers

my entry to-day is somewhat shallow and definantely not thought provoking. bare with me. Socrates said, "The wise are doubtful." that is so true. if anybody reading that happens to think it would make a good profile quote or something, have at it. i respect George Foreman. hes not just a famous, rich black man; hes a famous, rich, black, SMART man. he has invested smart. unlike most of these damn famous people, he came out with more money in the end than he had in the beginning and still wit

nightmare & reality check

well, i had the most horrible dream last night that i have ever had i my life. unfortunately, i escaped being killed in the dream. that means ill have to watch the continuation of the story the next time i go to sleep. because of this, the next time i go to sleep will not be tonight. or, if i can help it, the night after that. i hate to think how much technology has invaded my life within the past two years. if you had asked me three years ago why i didnt want a computer with the internet, i

Gumbo

it just happens today is your lucky day, Mme. Dot (and all you other folks who are surely dying for a genuine recipe instead of that redneck stuff)! Maman helped me phrase it for folks that arent "us". for 12 entreé-sized servings: 1 cup oil 1 cup flour 1 large onions, chopped 2 bell peppers, chopped 4 ribs celery, chopped 1-6 cloves garlic, minced 4 quart chicken stock 2 bay leaves 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 3 teaspoons creole/cajun seasoning (of course, add them in to

planning my life - #2

okay, so ive though about it and have come to a conclusion. my parents have been saving for college for me, and i'm going to be able to get A LOT of scholarships. so ive decided it would be smart to go to college after highschool, and utilize the opportunity; and maybe i'll figure out what i want to do after a couple years. thats what my parents were suggesting anyway (see that? i'm listening to my parents. at least in part), just taking general courses until i get a better idea. who knows, i mi
